Ascendancy of British in India :Bengal : Bengal on the eve of Battle of Plassey, Clive and the battle of Plassey and Boxer, administrative setup introduced in Bengal after Battle of Boxer.
Unit-II
Administrative structure and economic policy of the British :Land Revenue administration — Permanent settlement Ryotwari System, Mahalwari system; effect of the revenue policy on agrarian economy.
Unit-III
