UNIT-I
(7 Marks) 

  1. Regional study of India based on Physiography, Drainage, Climate, Soil and Natural Vegetarian. 


UNIT-II 
(14 Math) 

  1. Agriculture : Salient features of Indian agriculture ; Types of Farming; problems and prospects of Indian agriculture ; Green Revolution. 
  2. Mineral resources : Iron ore and Manganese (Metallic Energy); Limestone and Atomic minerals (Non-Metallic Energy). 
  3. Energy Resources : Coal, Petroleum and Hydel Power. 


UNIT-III 
(14 Math) 

  1. Manufacturing industries : Cotton and Jute (Textile Industry); Iron & Steel and Aluminium (Metallurgical Industry). 
  2. Population : Growth, distribution and density ; problems and prospects; population explosion and migration. 
  3. Urbanization in India : Trends and problems. 
  4. Tourism in India with special reference to North-East India; Trends and potentialities.
